In as found condition, this large 5 Gallon galvanised steel measuring jug has tons of character and really makes a statement. It has an open top, no lid, sturdy steel swinging handle and still has its lead government seal, stamped with the Royal Crown, denoting that it conformed to the standards of the day.

No makers mark that I can see just the lettering “5 Gallons”. It could easily be cleaned up to reveal more of the zinc coating or left as is. It still holds water but could be drilled to make a very stylish planter.
