Jane's Pocket Book 13. RPVs: Robot Aircraft Today. By John WR Taylor. A truly beautiful, hardback pocket volume, In excellent condition. This is a very poignant volume indeed. Nearly fifty years after its initial publication, we can reflect on the concept of remotely piloted vehicles (RPVs). Now commonplace, we can examine the origins of today's UAVs, (unmanned aerial vehicles).
It contains numerous black-and-white photographs on nearly all of its 239 pages. Jane's aviation books are renowned worldwide for their thorough, unbiased examination of every genre of aircraft.
The book is free from loose pages, all bindings are very tight, and it is free from water damage. There is some light rubbing to the corners, and the item shows obvious signs of light use and shelf time. There are some spotting and dust marks, but thankfully, the pages are barely foxed.
The dust cover is present and in good order, with just an inch-long tear in the front upper right corner. This has never been taped or repaired.
