A wonderful and totally original Castrol motor oil sign. Owned and enjoyed by myself for the last thirty years, this sign bears the early Castrol font and dates from the 1930s, in superb condition, very difficult to fault, with very few blemishes or chips to the vitreous enamel finish. It has clearly always had a sheltered life which has helped the enamel retain its original shine and rich, vibrant colour. Unusually all of the lettering is intact, unbleached and clear.

It would originally have been part of an oil bottle display stand. Free from repairs or repainting it is ready for display. Single sided and measuring 14 ½ x11 ½ inches or 37x29cm.
