Purveyors of Curios, Collectables & Fine Tat

A substantial and original 1944 military boat anchor. This is an incredible piece of British military history that very possibly played a part in some of the last theatres of world war two. Made from cast steel with two impressive spades and a chain loop at the top it bears the lettering: "CAST STEEL CROFTS"along the shaft and is stamped with the military broad arrow towards the base. This is partially obscured by old paint along with some seemingly random stamped letters and numbers. More research on this exciting piece could reveal its historic military past.

Only recently acquired by myself I am unsure of its exact history, but it is in superb condition and in my opinion could easily be used again for its intended purpose, but could do with a fresh coat of paint.

Now painted red it would look superb in a beach garden setting or used in a military/naval re-enactment.

It measures 26 inches in length and 18 inches across the spade tips or, 66 x 46cm. It is a heavy item.

UK mainland shipping included in the price. A reduction is also offered for buyer collection from our warehouse in Derby.
