A wonderful and large wrought iron door strap. Gothic in design it is a really striking architectural piece, made of flat steel with decorative raised steel studs to embellish the points. It came from a stately home in Derbyshire that was demolished at the turn of the century. It shows signs of the years it has spent outside in the elements there, but despite this, the thick steel is still perfectly solid. It is straight, flat and free from repairs or damage.  

I have left it unpainted to display the steel's wonderful natural patina.

It is a really imposing piece that looks great standing in a corner of my garden courtyard. 

The measurements are as follows: length  50 inches, width 8 inches or 127 cm x 20 cm
