A large, handsome oriental Imari cat (damage to the rear). In the upright, sitting position, beautifully decorated with typical Imari floral design. The colour way features an abundance of large green, red and blue flowers, the green collar with yellow bow tie adding to her very pleasing colour balance. A six-character signature is present on the base.  

Overall, her condition is stunning, no chips to the ears and only light wear to the decoration. However, as you can see from the images, she only has three legs!

Her rear leg is broken off and missing. I bought this cat from an antiques auction over 30 years ago and have enjoyed owning her and having her on display ever since. She could be restored but as the damage cannot be seen from the front I have never bothered. No other damage or repairs. A beautiful Imari porcelain cat. 

She stands 14 inches or 40cm tall.
