This is a very attractive Victorian cast iron gate post finial. It has clearly been battling the elements for many years, adding a nicely patinated and weathered finish. To retain its rustic charm, it has only been lightly cleaned and waxed, ready for display.

I have it on my desk as a paperweight but it would look equally attractive on a bookshelf or in the garden.
