This is a wonderful Carltonware Sugar shaker or sifter in the Buttercup pattern, dating from around 1938. It is in lovely, unmarked, original condition, free from chips, knocks, damage, or repairs. The base is clearly stamped " Carltonware" in black.This is a bright, decorative country kitchen piece with a Buttercup yellow glaze, raised floral decoration, and hand-painted detailing. 

It is truly beautiful and displays very nicely.

It stands just over 5 inches tall and is around 3 inches in diameter at the base. or 125mm x 80mm.
