Manufactured around 1870 by an unknown maker, this amazing little pewter ink pot could certainly tell a tale or two. Having a sweeping "waisted" form with a "flared" rim, this is a wonderfully tactile piece with plenty of honest patina and knocks. It comes with a blue glass liner which fits nicely i'm unsure if this is a later in date to the inkwell. The two sit very nicely together.
It still has a nice flat base with no leaks should you wish to re-use it for it's original purpose.
It sits wonderfully on a desk. It is in wonderful unrestored condition free from major damage, resoldering or repairs.
It measures 85mm in diameter at the base x 50mm high. Or nearly 3 1/2 inches x 2 inches.
UK mainland shipping is included in the price. Collection from Derby is welcome.
