A nice “new old stock” KLG split spark plug. Still in its original packaging, including the technical information sheet. It has clearly never been fitted or used. It has some light surface marks from its years in storage, but looks like new, the threads, insulators and electrode also look in perfect order. The original box is in great shape with minimal wear but does show signs of age. It is also stamped "G5"

A very innovative and reliable design at the time, which solved numerous engine issues. The employment of very effective insulators, making this type of spark plug very popular with motor racing enthusiasts and aircraft manufacturers alike.

It would make a great garage shelf display item or I am sure due to its high standard of British engineering would still be fit for the purpose it was made for. 

The only markings I can spot that are legible is the stamp: “G5”.  I would therefore be grateful for any further information anyone could offer as to the precise coding or use on this wonderful little item.

Measuring approximately: 3 inches in total length, 1 inch accross the flats with a thread diameter of 3/4 inch Or 75mm, 25mm, 20mm
