We are excited to announce that this superb military microphone has been sold and is now embarking on the next phase of its journey. A wide selection of vintage military and aircraft items is always available.
Manufactured by Tannoy of Great Britain around 1942 and numbered YA2813. This microphone is in superb original condition, very difficult to fault with minimal paint loss to the cast alloy body, amazingly it still has its rubber mouth cup, olive cotton neck strap, original flex and three pin Bakelite plug marked Tannoy products.
These microphones played a vital role during WW2 and had a number of uses. Being of very rugged, solid construction built to withstand shocks and vibration they were ideal for tank crews to communicate whilst in action on the battle field. Apparently intended to be paired up with the famous military 19 set radio transceiver. A fantastic piece of history ideal for military re-enactments, re use or display.
UK mainland shipping is included in the price. A discount is offered for collection from our Derby warehouse.
