This is a wonderful and interesting Coconut trinket box or cup from the 19th century. It has a hinged lid that closes on a clasp designed as a hand denoting the Persons of the Trinity. It is beautifully mounted and bound in plated brass. The decoration has a tropical theme, focusing on flora and fauna.

This lovely tactile item is ready for display, free from repairs or damage. The silver plating is slightly rubbed in places, which adds to the piece's charm and character. It has a wonderful, deep luster and displays very well.
